《绿袖》（Green Sleeves）是一首流传了400多年的英格兰民谣，该是保存至今的最古老的情歌之一，后来也曾被重新填词、作为圣诞歌曲《What Child Is This》传唱。曲风古朴悠扬，婉转缠绵，自是别有风韵。据说，greensleeves类似于汉语中的“红妆”之类的词，也是对女子的一种称谓。整支曲子虽是咏唱着无果而终的爱慕，却在字里行间流露着优雅的中世纪骑士风范，彬彬有礼，不偏不倚。
这里附的译文是最为流行、最为贴切的诗经体的翻译版本。还有一小点补充说明，音频和歌词并不完全对应，仔细的网友一听就会发现。主要因为这首歌太古老了，流传至今的翻唱改写数以千万计。为了忠于诗经体裁的译文，我们选择了与它相一致的歌词。只是两小段有出入，没有变动歌曲的整个调子，并不妨碍学唱。
